{"id":48390,"date":"2013-02-19T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2013-02-18T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/at3w.com\/blog\/surge-protection-in-telecommunication-towers\/"},"modified":"2013-02-19T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2013-02-18T22:00:00","slug":"surge-protection-in-telecommunication-towers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/at3w.com\/en\/blog\/surge-protection-in-telecommunication-towers\/","title":{"rendered":"Surge protection in telecommunication towers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\tAplicaciones Tecnol&oacute;gicas has designed the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/lightningprotection-at3w.com\/upload\/ficheros\/protection_for_telecommunication_towers(1).pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">overvoltage protection project for telecommunication towers<\/a><\/strong> in Cameroon<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\n\tTelecommunication<del cite=\"mailto:ATSA\" datetime=\"2013-02-19T13:14\">s<\/del> towers such as cellular, television and radio repeaters are very high structures placed in isolated locations and equipped with equipment highly sensitive to atmospheric discharges.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tProtection against lightning strikes and overvoltages avoids failures and deterioration of electronic components of the installation thus enlarging its life.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tSuch is the case of the surge protection project we have designed for telecommunication towers in Cameroon. Besides, these towers work with photovoltaic cells which are also very sensitive to atmospheric discharges.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe following protector devices have been installed in order to protect the telecommunication towers against lightning strikes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\t<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/lightningprotection-at3w.com\/upload\/pdf_producto\/AT-8901_I.PDF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ATPV3<\/a><\/strong> for the cell&rsquo;s inverter<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t<a href=\"http:\/\/lightningprotection-at3w.com\/upload\/pdf_producto\/AT-2102_I.PDF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>ATFREQ N<\/strong><\/a> for coaxial lines<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/lightningprotection-at3w.com\/upload\/pdf_producto\/AT-8514_I.PDF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ATVOLT P48<\/a><\/strong> for DC supply line of the photovoltaic cells<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n\t<a
