Aplicaciones Tecnológicas S.A.’s DAT CONTROLER® PLUS Early Streamer Emission (ESE) lightning rods have obtained UL safety certification.
This certification is issued by Underwriters Laboratories, a company of recognised prestige throughout the world that tests, validates and certifies a wide range of products to ensure that they comply with all the safety requirements demanded in the United States of America and Canada and other international standards like NFC 17-102 or IEC 62305
In this way, Aplicaciones Tecnológicas S.A.’s DAT CONTROLER® PLUS becomes the first lightning rod manufactured in Spain to obtain this certification following tests carried out independently by Underwriters Laboratories, which guarantee that the lightning rod has been tested to meet rigorous safety standards, minimising risks such as fire, electric shock and mechanical hazards, and that its manufacture continues to meet the required standards over time.
Apliweld Secure+ aluminothermic welding, also UL-listed
In addition to the ESE lightning rods, Aplicaciones Tecnológicas S.A. also has UL certification for its APLIWELD® SECURE + exothermic welding system. This certification under the UL467 standard, referring to ‘Grounding and bonding equipment’, establishes the standards for the quality and reliability of connections between electrical conductors. These connections are subjected to a current test and a rigorous mechanical test, which includes two stages: a torque test and a tensile test.
APLIWELD® SECURE + exothermic welding creates molecular-level bonds between conductors, ensuring durability and electrical continuity over time. It uses an innovative compact tablet format that simplifies the process and reduces inventory costs. In addition, it allows remote electronic ignition, which contributes to reducing occupational risks.

A. is also a company registered by AENOR (Spanish Association for Standardisation and Certification), which certifies the implementation of a quality assurance system according to the UNE – EN ISO 9001: 2015 standard for our products and services. In addition, we hold the AENOR N-mark product conformity certificate for Early Streamer Emission (ESE) lightning rod and a certificate for the Environmental Management System following the UNE-EN ISO 14001:2004 standard
