ISO 14001:2015 certification is an international standard that establishes the requirements for an effective environmental management system within an organisation. Aplicaciones Tecnológicas S.A. has recently achieved recertification by this standard. This recertification demonstrates the company’s commitment to environmental protection and sustainability, compliance with current environmental and legal standards, and continuous improvement of environmental practices, thus setting the foundations for the future of the company.
Aplicaciones Tecnológicas S.A. has recertified its Environmental Management System in the last week, based on the UNE-EN ISO 14001:2015 standard. This certificate, which was first obtained in 2008, is the recognition of the company’s efforts to adapt all production processes to reduce waste, to raise awareness of the staff to become more sustainable, to continuously review environmental legislation and to look for opportunities to improve year after year.
Aplicaciones Tecnológicas S.A.’s commitment to sustainability extends to its new facilities, where a 100kW solar panel installation has recently been completed.
The new certificate was obtained through IVAC – Instituto de certificación S.L., a part of the international group KIWA with great sectorial specialisation.

Quality and excellence are fundamental parts of the production process at Aplicaciones Tecnológicas S.A. We currently have other certifications in a quality assurance system following the UNE – EN ISO 9001: 2015 standard for its products and services, in addition to an AENOR N-mark product conformity certificate and a Quality Management certificate. The company´s medical products comply with the ISO 13485:2016 standard for the medical technology and radiological protection division.
