This system alerts in advance about the formation of a thunderstorm, letting time for taking the pre-set preventive actions that reduce risks in case of a lightning strike or a power surge.
On the terrace of OUB Centre there is a busy outdoor restaurant, hence the detector acts warning about the needed evacuation of the exposed area when there is a thunderstorm alarm.
