World Day for Safety and Health at Work is celebrated on 28 April. This day, established by the International Labour Organization in 2003, seeks to raise awareness of the need to identify and control the hazards and risks associated with a production process, as well as to encourage the development of activities and measures necessary to prevent risks arising from work. Verónica Palomar, deputy director of Aplicaciones Tecnológicas, has been appointed President of the CTN 207/SC 81 committee of the Spanish Association for Standardisation (UNE). This committee is responsible for drafting and monitoring lightning protection standards in Spain.
