Verónica Palomar, deputy director of Aplicaciones Tecnológicas, has been appointed President of the CTN 207/SC 81 committee of the Spanish Association for Standardisation (UNE). This committee is responsible for drafting and monitoring lightning protection standards in Spain.
Susana Polo Martí, responsible of standardisation and member of the Aplicaciones Tecnológicas´ Lightning Protection Technical Department, received the IEC award that the International Electrotechnical Commission gives annually to the most outstanding members of each committee.
The ATSTORM® storm detection system has dual sensor technology and also has IoT connectivity, thanks to which the system improves performance the longer it is in service in a given location, adjusting its algorithms and calculation formulas. The sensors are permanently connected to the centralised calculation system of Aplicaciones Tecnológicas S.A., where their signals are processed, their operation is monitored and alerts are sent to users.
