Aplicaciones Tecnológicas S.A. has renewed the quality certificate under ISO 9001:2015. This certification was first achieved 25 years ago and has been issued for all the company’s products and services.
This certificate covers the entire range of SMART LIGHTNING and SMART EARTHING products: the design, production, installation and servicing of lightning rods, Surge protection devices and storm detectors; the design and manufacture of exothermic welding compound and its accessories.
This quality certification also extends to the division responsible for the marketing, installation, commissioning and maintenance of medical radiation protection and medical physics equipment, as well as for the marketing, installation and maintenance of equipment for the measurement, detection and testing of environmental parameters.
The main objective of the seal is to demonstrate the organisation’s ability to provide quality products and services that meet the requirements of its customers and the applicable regulations. Therefore, once again, our technical and operational capacity, together with our exhaustive control of the identification, analysis and treatment of risks, ensure that our products and services obtain the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
AENOR N-certified lightning rods: DAT CONTROLER®, ESE beyond requirements
Aplicaciones Tecnológicas’ range of Early Streamer Emission (ESE) devices also renews its product certification with the N seal of AENOR, the highest certification entity in Spain. This mark ensures that the DAT CONTROLER® and DAT CONTROLER® REMOTE lightning conductors comply with AENOR’s special RP 058 regulation for lightning conductors with arrester. The tests are carried out in official independent laboratories and, in addition, AENOR technicians periodically verify that the required control parameters are met in the production samples.
The DAT CONTROLER® REMOTE lightning rod by Aplicaciones Tecnológicas S.A. not only meets all the demanding tests of the regulations with the highest quality controls but also has a series of additional features that make it a unique and the most complete PDC lightning conductor currently available on the market. These features are: Extended lightning current stress test, operation in rainy conditions (insulation greater than 95%), self-diagnosis, and IoT connectivity, allowing its status to be known remotely and without visual inspection.
Other certifications: commitment to the environment
In addition to the recently renewed certificates, Aplicaciones Tecnológicas S.A. has an Environmental Management System under the UNE-EN ISO 14001:2004 standard. It also has a “Calculate-Reduce-Compense” seal issued by the Spanish Office for Climate Change, under the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, which is obtained by calculating greenhouse gas emissions to start reducing them.
